Annie Folger painted during the 1920s. She exhibited at the few of the island’s early galleries, including at the Easy Street Gallery from 1924 to 1943, and at the Candle House Studio on the corner of Commercial Wharf and Washington Street. She was a charter member of the Art Students League, which accepted female students at a time when many universities did not. Elizabeth Rebecca Coffin was a close friend.
