Barbara has been drawing and painting as long as she can remember. Her passion led her to pursue a degree from the Women’s College of Georgia with a double major in Psychology and Art Education. From there, Barbara went on to attend Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida, where she studied Interior Design, and eventually received her Masters in Education degree from the American International College in Massachusetts. Barbara’s roots with the AAN run deep as she has been an artist member since the 60’s, served on the board, and even as president. She still refers to art as her anchor as well as escape, and spends the winters back in Florida brushing up on her own art with a variety of workshops with talented instructors.
