Painting has been a lifelong love that I find extraordinarily challenging and deeply gratifying. My aim is to depict the beauty I see in everyday moments, people, and scenes. I am driven by the way natural light has the ability to transform the otherwise ordinary, into extraordinary visual moments. My interpretation of these moments usually involves deliberate brushwork, strong light and dark patterns, and bold punches of color. I continually work to simplify compositions and let light, shadow and color interactions tell the story of why I stopped to look.
I have taken countless classes and workshops, and paint as often as possible in my home studio. I teach Paint Nights at The Milton Art Center, where I am a member of the Board of Directors. I am a substitute art teacher in the Milton Academy Lower School.
I am a member of the South Shore Art Center, The North River Arts Society and a juried artist member of
The Nantucket Artists Association, Nantucket, MA
The Copley Society of Art, Boston, MA
The National Association of Women Artists, NYC
I live in Milton, MA with my husband and four children.
