Erika is a professionally trained portrait and landscape artist who lives and works in New York City and Nantucket. She earned her BA in studio art from William Smith College in Geneva, NY and a Diploma in Portraiture from Heatherley’s School of Fine Art in London, England. Her studies and time spent abroad, as well as Nantucket, have been a strong influence and source of inspiration over the past three decades. While she completes many portraits by commission (people and dogs) she also has a passion for landscapes and architecture. In addition to being an Artist Member, Erika teaches classes at the Visual Arts Center, is a board member, and has recently been elected to chair Professional Development, a new initiative at the Artists Association.
