Holly has been a passionate artist her whole life. As a child she realized her love of drawing and painting. Her interest in art continued and became refined in her years at Middlebury College as a fine arts major. Holly began her career as a mural artist. Her work currently focuses on large scale oil on canvas landscape paintings.
Holly’s art career began with her own successful business as a trompe l’oeil mural artist, also specializing in painted finishes and painted furniture. Her work can be found in spectacular homes on Park Avenue, in Greenwich Connecticut and Nantucket Island. She also participated in many designer showhouses and her work was featured in many magazines and books.
Currently, Holly works out of her studio on the Hudson River. Her artistic joy and talent are translated onto her large scale landscape paintings. The subject matter includes veiws just outside her window of the Hudson River. The main body of her work features the moors, ponds, and back roads of her favorite island where she is also resides part of the year, Nantucket. In all of her work the importance of atmosphere, the seasons, color, and composition are evident. Her pieces evoke a feeling of longing and mystery.
