My first experience with art began with art lessons at the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia when I was a child. During marriage and motherhood, I embarked on the use of acrylics on wood. Later, I took private lessons on the use of watercolors from instructors, both on and off the Island, which resulted in my being accepted into the AAN-both as a member and instructor.
In the past several years, I have taken lessons in the use of oils which I currently use almost exclusively. Along with being a member of AAN, I have been juried into membership in the Working Artist Forum in Easton Maryland. I have participated in both group and private shows exhibiting both still life and landscapes.
