I am a serial entrepreneur, having started with a paper route at age 12, going on to found 4 businesses namely Paychex, Safesite(Iron Mountain), Store to Door and College Boxes(Uhaul). After retiring I focused my creative talents on charities I am passionate about and then painting and drawing, sign carving and guilding and Glassblowing. I have been very fortunate to have the time and inspiration to explore new mediums such as hot glass blowing, that makes me understand the effects of time and temperature. I hope to try other mediums such as clay and metal as I explore new and creative ways of expanding my repertoire.
I am always amazed at how my glass pieces turn out. I put the finished hot piece of glass in the cooler and return 24hrs. later to discover and entirely different color and shape. I continue to try new techniques, colors, shapes and sizes because it’s a process and a learning experience. We are all artists, learning to fail and start over is the biggest hurdle to achieving success.
