Josephine Sheridan Robinson was born in London, England, and received her BA Honours Degree, History. Warwick University, followed by her Post Graduate Certificate of Education, Manchester. She also studied at London’s Art Foundation at Southwark College before studying film at the London Film Maker’s Co-Op and Post Grad Dip Film Studies, Central London Polytechnic. Upon moving to the US, Josephine taught drawing at both Knoxville’s University Of Tennessee and Community School of the Arts, and at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN. Now living in Connecticut with her husband, artist Dean Fisher, Josephine has taught at Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven, and Silvermine Guild Arts Center in New Canaan, CT. Her work is represented by George Billis Gallery, NY, Tregony Gallery, UK, and Kehler Liddell Gallery, New Haven CT.
