Painting is a mystery according to one of my teachers. A lot of things are a mystery to me, and I paint to find answers. Titles for the landscapes and seascapes I paint might make a suggestion but don’t always succeed.
My drive to paint takes time and effort but is as essential as nourishment, rest and getting outside. It requires the same kind of attention, self-discipline and practice as any endeavor.
Almost everything is painted in oils unless otherwise noted. I use environmentally (plumbing and trash disposal) safe studio practices.
