Lori’s current work is primarily focused on functional ceramics. She creates minimal and thoughtfully designed ceramic dishes and objects for every day life. She is fascinated by the science of ceramics and is constantly experimenting and playing and manipulating the surface and glaze. Lori works in many construction methods and employs many techniques to create carefully considered surface treatments and pattern work (some are carvings, or printed, or hand-painted) and are typically abstract drawings of her surroundings or inspired by life events.
