Meredith attended The Parsons School of Design and holds a BFA in Fine Arts with a concentration in sculpture.
As a young girl Meredith remembers feeling that the art room was the place she wanted to be, inspired by the colorful materials around her and the children’s artwork in various stages of completion. The “studio” is a place of community, a place for children to explore, be themselves while learning strong artistic skills.
Meredith has taught children’s classes for many years, drawing from her love of assemblage and mixed media, believing that children need to be given freedom to express themselves with a sense of humor and fun while also giving them basic foundational skills to realize their vision for projects. Process is often the most important part of learning and creating new ideas through observing the world around you.
