Susan Landmann always tries to capture that decisive moment with her photographs: compose, wait and shoot.
As a child she spent many hours with her Kodak Brownie camera documenting moments of solitude in the woods behind her house.
As an elementary school teacher she created photo journals of classroom activities from which her students enjoyed learning to read. Now she focuses on images that tell stories, stories about everyday people and the places they live.
Susan has taken many workshops at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops and the Maine Photographic Workshops. She received a professional certificate from Maine Media College of Photography (2011). Susan holds a BA in Music and Art History as well as an MA in elementary education. She is currently photographing for a number of local and off island organizations.
