Course Description

Artists of all levels are invited to join this session of constructive feedback and supportive critique led by Nancy Colella. Time will be equally divided among all participants, so please come on time and stay for the full 2 hours. You are welcome to present up to 4 artworks, and guide the discussion in a way that is helpful to you. For example, you might need technical help or ask the group for emotional responses to your work. You may bring in work that is either finished or in progress. You may attend and not present. This critique session is designed to ponder possibilities and to inspire creativity, using “could’s” and never “should’s.” We will not discuss art in terms of “saleability” or any marketing strategies. The professional development focuses on mark making, creative process, and art practices.

Cancellation Policy

AAN depends upon student tuition to continue to offer classes and workshops. Due to our commitment to small class sizes and the hands-on nature of art education, we are greatly impacted by cancellations. Nevertheless, we do understand that plans change. If you need to cancel your reservation for a class or workshop, please note our cancellation/refund policy here and let us know as soon as possible.
