Course Description

Screen Printing with paper stencils is a great introduction to screen printing - without the fancy equipment! Using simple newsprint, we will draw and cut paper stencils which we will use to screen print onto paper or fabric. Learn the basics of screen printing, including how much ink is needed, what the consistency should be, the right pressure to use when printing, simple registration techniques and how to heat-set your fabric. Paper stencils offer a quick way to explore new designs and encourage creative variations. After one print run we wash it away and start again with a new design.
