Course Description

Through individual guidance, instructor Lenny Moskowitz, will be covering several concepts including contrast through values, layering color, and discovering the focal point. Students will develop their confidence and visual vocabulary, while keeping things simple. Students are encouraged to work in an uninhibited way and to be very playful in this class.

AAN is able to provide scholarships/tuition aid through the Healing Through the Creative Arts Program. This program is made possible through funding from the Town of Nantucket Human Services Department. For questions or assistance please contact Elizabeth Buccino, Director of Education

Simply Painting: The Still Life, 18+

Lenny Moskowitz

Lenny Moskowitz received his BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art and his MFA from Cranbrook Academy. He is a painterly figurative and abstract artist who embraces the creative spirit of the unexpected and unknown in order to develop a different vision of reality to emerge with order and smoothed edges. Lenny has exhibited his paintings and has been awarded several residencies nationwide. He teaches workshops in Connecticut, Block Island, and Nantucket and currently is an art professor at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT.
